Yoji, a soulful pop/R&B artist with roots in London and Suffolk, emerges as a force to be reckoned with in the music industry. From an early age, she found solace and expression in music, crafting melodies that resonate with raw emotion and honesty, drawing
inspiration from the fragments of her life.
Yoji began composing songs in the school playground which led her to take classical piano lessons, honing her skills and enriching her musical palette. Surrounded by a family of artists, she found unwavering support to nurture her creativity.
A graduate of Goldsmiths with a Masters in Popular Music, Yoji seamlessly blends her talents as a singer, pianist, and songwriter. Her self-produced singles and EPs, notably "Retro Romance," showcase her evolution as both an artist and a producer. As a
songwriter Yoji has attended writing camps run by Tileyard and BMI whilst also co-writing songs for other artists projects ranging in genres from Dance, Pop, R&B and Garage. She has worked and written with Talay Riley (H.E.R, FLO), Cole YoursTruly (Drake), Jay DX (Tyla) and Hannah V (Stormzy, JP Cooper).
Yoji has graced renowned venues, from the O2 Arena supporting Kool & The Gang to intimate performances in London's vibrant music scene such as The Jazz Cafe. Her music resonates far and wide, earning airplay on national platforms like Capital FM and BBC Radio 1. One of Yoji’s personal highlights was her collaboration with Samaritans where she released a charity single for a cause close to her heart.
As one-third of the electrifying trio SOULiloquy, Yoji continues to captivate audiences, with their debut album garnering widespread acclaim and most recently gaining a spotlight as track of the week on BBC 1Xtra. With her unwavering passion, Yoji continues to captivate audiences with her infectious energy and heartfelt music.
